La Ciénaga is a brand that creates baskets and accessories using traditional Colombian artisanal techniques, reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. each piece combines design, craftsmanship, and recycled materials.
where are the products manufactured?
Our baskets are handmade by artisans from various workshops and cooperatives in the Colombian highlands. Our master artisan is Yolanda Velázquez, who oversees the entire production process, from the collection of bottles for fiber recycling to their selection and shipment to Madrid.
are all products the same?
no, each piece is unique and numbered. as it is handmade, there may be slight differences in the weave, shape, color, or details from one piece to another.
are small imperfections normal?
Yes, the small imperfections in the material and fabric are part of the handcrafted character of each piece and make every object unique.

Our baskets are made from recycled PVC fibers, using upcycling techniques in their weaving.
